Do the New !

Since the last few days whatever media bites I have been able to catch – i could gather the presence of one of the Telecom giants from Japan in our backyards.
Be it the print media or the satellite channels – the entry of this telecom behemoth is being felt big.

While travelling from campus to the Airport (on way to Delhi for my internship) I could absolutely feel the presence of this Firm from Nippon if you haven’t guessed it yet … its DO CO MO ( NTT DoCoMo has tied up with Tata Indicom to offer GSM services) – now remember the refreshing commercial inside the train nicknamed the “friendship express” which seems to attract quite many eyeballs.

The 1st flyover i crossed had sprinkles of the Do CO MO billboards in abundance in nice refreshing colours – saying “Do the new”.

Well all of us know about “Doing the Dew” .. not sure how many have actually done the dew … but that was a hit tagline … and now we have another doing option – “doing the new”

And then came stretches where Doing the New was interspersed with the Jr. B giving his idea about Id@a saying Bondhu ( friend in Bengali) Walk when you Talk …I am not sure how great an idea is that though esp. if you are outside on the roads amidst traffic etc, that may be a risky idea!

On another stretch, closer to the airport could be seen Vodafone’s faithful doggy – looking at me as if ready to follow my cab.

Further could be seen placards of big daddy – BSNL grabbing the remaining eyeballs.

All in all the ads strewn all over by these telecom players interested me a lot and I was hooked trying to find the next billboard or placard of one of these, next time i will try to gain some insights into these players and how the telecom industry in India is poised at the moment.
